primo3001 updated American Road with a new update entry: Near Clip fix Read the rest of this update entry...
So I tried the Impossible Time Trail: Time: 35:00.639 Car: The standard Vivace Rally - Asphalt slightly modified with a longer final drive (3.08:1 instead of 4.88:1) so it could reach about 290 kp/h for the long straights and a skidplate to protect it from the jumps The Trial is really fun and challenging. Some bumps and rocks can ruin your run and especially in the last part its easy to forget the way so you have to be carefull not to crash. Gonna try to improve the time even more with a different car.
I know this would probably be a pain to do, but could you add bus stops in cities? I love doing the bus routes & having them on this map would be quite fitting, especially because there's a highway config on the Wentward
"Slavic Lands". To be honest, I don't have that much time to work on it, like I had with American Road. I am not giving up this project, because it is on pretty advanced stage at some places, but I have no idea when it will be finished.
Is anyone else having problems with their trees not having textures in American Road. If so, and someone has a fix, it would be appreciated, as this is my favorite map.
Somewhat. I always delete them cause they look hideuous lol. EDIT: they say "NO TEXTURE" , so that's why.
Hi. Just clear your cache and make sure that you don't have any outdated files anywhere. If you have a folder called "mymap" in documents/Beamng.drive/levels folder, you should remove it.
Hey, Ive been trying to see replays for an upcoming Youtube video... Whenever I open a replay, it shows a frame or 2 of the start of the replay, and then reloads the map. I would think that it has to do with the pc's power and etc but I'm running i7 9700f and 16gb ram with a gtx 1660 ti so I really don't know. Any help would be well appreciated. Thank you! EDIT: fixed it over time
While doing the impossible time trial in my tuned 1.2L I3 Vivace, the engine suprisingly died on me after 40 km (right after the default spawn position) due to overtorque. It seems that something on the map, maybe the environmental temperature - increases ICE torque and HP. Sadly this little bit (5 % - 6 %) of extra tuning proved to be to much for my poor 3 cylinder. This is why you dont chip tune if you like your car. Compare rated torque of 237Nm and actual torque of 248Nm. In comparsion, those values should be almost identical if you have a standard environment like the grid map where height differences dont reduce ICE engine power higher up. Yes, rated torque and HP are actual torque and HP. R.I.P. a 3 cylinder. Maybe it is the environmental temperature? -273.1 degree C is pretty cold although engine and brake pads otherwise start at 15 degree C, a value confirmed by the dashboard display. Or maybe it is height? Most of the map is highly into negative numbers with -400 to - 500 being regular occurences.
I believe it is due to the height, mostly, as air gets more dense as you go down, and therefore you make more power. I'm not sure if intake air temperatures are simulated in beam, but I know air density is.
I'm not sure what's going on. I've redownloaded this map 3 times, reset the games options. cleared cache, quadruple checked that I don't have any remnants left of the map when installing it again. yet still trees have no textures unless i drive up to them. What's going on?
