Hi everyone! So some behind the scenes time lapse of when I 3D modeled the wheel.
Basically shows everything except for how much coffee I drank and rap music I was listening too.

Also turns out getting the spokes to weave through each other correctly was quite the process :p.

If anyone has any other questions let me know, I love talking about workflow! :D

I really enjoyed watching this video ! showing all the behind-the-scene of a game is always a nice thing. I have a little question, im not experienced at all in modelization in BeamNG and I don't understand what you are doing after 3:50, the wheel looks done but it seems to be only half of the work...

Spend years on doing it. I've been at it for over 3 years & still are not at the professional level

Untill 3:50, he was making a high detail mesh, which he used to create textures, mainly for normal maps. After that he made a lower detail model onto which the textures from the previous model will be applied.

Model stuff, a lot of stuff.

And constantly try to push further in terms of level of detail.

Write "Pro modeller" in a post-it note and stick it to your chest when you go out. I can assure you over half the people you meet will believe you.

Ah yeah anything like Eminem, soooooo gooooood!!!!
Thank you! yeah I should probably have it show what keys I am pressing next time.

THank you! So I am creating a low poly model. My work flow is high poly model, then low poly model, then bake the normal and shadow detail from the high to low model.
    Thank you!
Hehe, I started using Blender when I was 12, then at 17 got my first Job in Arch Vis, then went more into video games, then focused on car work since I build cars in RL. Now I am 24 and designing and 3D modeling cars for a living, I was freelance and now switched over to full time. But basically it's all about putting the time into learning and applying to a ton of jobs until you can get your foot in the industry.
Basically yes, spend years learning :D
    Ah yes ^
SOOO MUCH STUFFFF, I have sooooo many files over the years
ORrr, save a post it note, just use sharpie and write it on your chest. :D
    Thank you!
I am not sure if I have the raw version any more since this was recorded so long ago and the files were GBs long, but I guess it would be a good idea to post a version with just a 2x speed increase.

if you are into melodic rap i could suggest you some Deltron 3030, since im assuming you already know Notorious BIG. There's also MF Doom, Mos Def, Nujabes, and if you have yet to hear it, Tyler the creator.

Please make some kind of hypercar..........like the old 1997 McLaren f1 or the Bugatti Chiron.
Since the Mclaren F1 is from 1997, you don't have to worry about all the high-tech technology, just a very light carbon chassis and a naturally aspirated v12.
Or you can surprise us with the Bugatti Chiron.
