Here is a thread for a side project I am working on. Do not expect me to ever finish this but I thought I would upload this hear because I am looking for jbeam assistance and overall thoughts on this project. I have posted a few pictures into development screenshots of this project but I thought it was about time that I created a thread about it. Planning on calling it the Miramar Kamotsu (cargo in Japanese) though its more like cargo ships and stuff I still think it sounds really cool. Progress: Model: 99% done Texture: 30% done Jbeam: 10% done Credits: Me - the textures, edited jbeam bits and edited bits of the model Beamng Team- Miramar model, textures and jbeam, Gavril D series bed model Here are some pictures of the truck.
i'd suggest not putting the taillights in the tailgate, as that means they can't be seen with the tailgate down. most light utes/pickups from the era shared their taillights with a wagon variant, like this corona: but if you can't fit them on the sides (it is quite narrow, and they would be kind of hard to model) I'd suggest putting them under the tailgate, with the bumpers: other than that, it's looking awesome! are you planning on making a panel van variant as well?
really? ...just... was that necessary? back on topic, alternatively, you could alter the shape of the sides to be more squared off, and have a slightly narrower tailgate, to accept a more basic, flat taillight, like this mazda 1000:
