So this is my first map i have created, it is still very early on and a lot still to do. This map is based on the Scottish Highlands, with the dramatic views and sweeping roads. I have tried to include as much as I can for everyone; Asphalt roads Off Road/Rally Off Road Trials/Rock crawling Hope you all like the screenshots any feedback let me know.
So i have made a quick small video to show some of the map, there is a lot more to see but these are not ready to show yet. Enjoy
Thanks I can not wait to get the map to a stage where people can try it, Im having to make it in between work so its taking some time. Id love to move onto skins eventually but I am a complete noob in that area to be honest, so maybe in the future but not currently.
So I havent been able to do as much work on here recently as I would of liked as I have started a new job so been quite busy XD But I have started work on a dual carriage way and some of the farmers fields.
Thanks! its taking me longer than i hoped to get it all done due to work and the pandemic but hopefully i can finish it off or get it ready to test.
Small update on progress. The dual carriageway is almost finished, Work resumed on the towns, most AI paths done (although they wont drive on the correct side of the road for Scotland XD ). Need to still finish details such as more walls and fences, another seaside village, lighthouse and more. If theres any questions you have give me a shout. Cheers
The drystone walls are what make it so true to the real life highlands. Can't wait till lockdown is over and I will be able to visit the highlands again IRL! Also, if youre not already planning it, a rainy version too, like the Mt Coottha map.
Yeah ive tried to build walled sections, fenced sections and some open roads. Same here we are supposed to be doing the NC500 in the summer XD Id love to do a rainy version but my main focus for now is to get the map suitable to publish and then work more on rain and scenarios - Im a noob so learning as i go. Thank you i really appreciate that!
I agree! The NC500 is one of the most beautiful routes in Scotland. Hope the weather isn't too Scottish though!
I hope so too! we have never been before so really can not wait to go. Also while im here had a spare few seconds today so thought id test if its possible to reach the top of one of the mountains... not a bad try if i do say so myself.
Been a hectic last week or so. Barley had anytime to do any work on the map but I have started again today! Found out my holiday on the NC500 has had to be cancelled because of the pandemic so that was a bit of a set back
