I couldn't agree more. The game could really use more fake companies. Right now we only have Tastycola, Beamcom, and the OEM/aftermarket companies. And gas stations. While on this topic, I pointed out a while back that it makes no sense that all the gas-stations in Italy belong to Apex, so they seem to have a monopoly on that island. It could have been a cool backstory to the eSBR and eVivace, but I think it would make more sense to have a few Nadeoline and Trilobite ones (the textures are already in-game in WCUSA).
yes, important details while we still don't have a career mode or the ability to repair cars part by part.
Is that sarcasm I sense? (Developing career mode or physics improvements, in relation to textures and asset creation, are two completely different things that should not interfere with each other during development. Since different people work on each thing, I don't believe the updating of cars and maps hinders Career mode or physics development in any way)
It's not like you have to stop doing everything, sit and think about "hmmm, should be Scandinavian containers called NorthPole or maybe NorthernPolar or SCS (Scandinavian Container Shipping) oh my, so many options, hmmm". You can get an idea doing regular job, write it somewhere and comeback to them later to check if there is real company called that way etc. This isn't something you need do right now (well, maybe apart from logos).

Fingers crossed the Industrial remaster (or remake) has some use for the wrecked Grand Marshal model that's in the files. A junk Yard would be nice.
i don't think it's likely tbh, if they were going to use it, i'd expect that they would remake it into a better looking version which is accurate to the real car (more burnt metal looking textures, no headlights or front grille, an engine model not like the 0.3 model, etc.)
I remember someone saying the company is around 50 people and all but 3 or so are working on Drive (this was awhile ago and they've definetly hired more people since then). There's 27 employees on their linkedin page...
Well that's certainly larger than I thought there was, especially considering how long the game went without any audio person.
My Take: This upcoming update looks really cool and I really do like the telephone pole models. On another not, I can't swear to this, but I gotta feeling that the T-series and the trailers that you can attach to it might receive an update, but I don't know for sure since I haven't heard much about it, so please take this with a pinch of salt. I don't have much (if any) evidence to prove that the T-series update thing is true.
I doubt that the T series is next to get an update. Do you have any evidence whatsoever on this or is it just a feeling?
Only bit of "evidence" I can come up with is that the sleeper cab has broken skins. Maybe they're messing around with it behind the scenes and forgot to change something that broke the skins? In the changelog though they mentioned that they "Fixed inverted normals on one side of Semi sleeper cab" so that's probably what broke it. The T-Series could use a minor re work since it was one of the earliest vehicles added, but there are plenty of other cars that need a re work more.
