I based it off the pigeon engine and tinkered with it to make it a lil more boat-ish. It boasts 22hp and 70N.m, outstanding I'd say
Nope, won't do. The most common Cuban diesel swaps are either 90s Japanese or Korean 4-cyl diesels (60-90 HP), or similarly "poweful" 80s Balkancar forklift engines. --- Post updated --- What's the point? Why not something people would actually make of a 50s American sedan?
For the first time and only time in all of history.. I agreeing with you, sure i get it, the car can have its Cuban culture config but really the amount of outrageous things I've seen in this mod that not even an eccentric german billionaire with a taste of strange American cars wouldn't have is really just putting me off, why would I download a huge mod when im only going to use a quarter of it. It has gone far beyond the realms of reasonable and slightly interesting to a bit stupid, I mean after all it is just an early fifties American car isn't it ?, but it is his mod so I guess i don't have a say
for the fist time ever i agree with @MrAnnoyingDude, cuban cars have japanese/russian mostly 80s engines, often coupled with ARO 3 speed transissions without synchromesh Also why wierd russian billionare configs? Sure, we need funny cars in the configs but keep the mod on track. Why not improve the interior, the seats, mabye a radio and hubcaps
Lots of 90s Japanese/Hyundai engines and 5-speed manuals around. In fact, the 90s motors and 5-speeds seem to be more popular.
Because it's his mod and he can do whatever he wants with it. Besides, the more crazy stuff, the better.
Why the hell can't modders be allowed to have fun and push the limits when it comes to vehicle mods? Heck, we need more modders like Inn0centJok3r and Ryo13silvia on here, who try to push the limits of all the boundaries they can, all from a simple vehicle mod. What about a lowrider version?
I could definitely see that as a config for this mod. Maybe try porting the bluebuck hydraulic system into the gavril series 8? (I am not a modder and have no experience with this sorta thing, but it's an idea)
A lowrider config is definitely an idea I have toyed with for a long time; however it will involve swapping the entire suspension, as the base Burnside uses horrid leaf springs in the rear and cannot use hydros (unless I make the shocks hydros, and that doesn't make sense) Btw, I know next to nothing about boats so perhaps I should redo the boat engine. A radio is desirable, but until I figure out how to make it actually function as in being able to listen to music in-game, I will not implement it as it will be half-assed IMHO. The whole reason I'm making replicas and impossible IRL configs is the fact that this is an experiment on what can be achieved with a humble 50s car. If you think about it, the car itself is not very impressive - just a Burnside with new lights and a worse interior. So in development I decided this would be a good platform (especially considering how stable the jbeam is, as it is a Burnside) to test how exactly can I stretch what a mod "should" be and "should not" be. After all, most common 50s configs and realistic ones (say, taxi, police, hot rod, rat rod etc...) have been done before the outrageousness came in. IMO, this mod iss not the car itself but the theory behind it, and the ideas.
can we get a config that is just a grand marshal with a different body eg.GM engine, suspension and maybe interor?
Hmm... I don't know tbh because I got greeted by this when I tried to do suspension swapping just now : And the two cars have close if not exactly same wheelbase and tread. There is no reason why this should happen...
I was planning a W16, but I don't have an adequate model yet. I do have JATO already, that suffice for jet engine?
