i'm sure we can all agree that one of the best engine of all time is the 7,8 Pakard v12. also enjoy poopy rust proofing, water coming in everywhere and torsion bars snapping randomly .
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh (cowers under the bed) ok then fine, here luxury the working man can afford that is guarantied to not fall apart on first weekend (the second not so lucky) --- Post updated --- While your wallowing in your gutless rustbucket, I'm in the meantime really motoring with a real engine in something that is solid and more rustproofed than ever Proof
a Chrysler? i've never seen an original 50s chrysler product that hasn't issues, rust around the double bobble headlights (for the 57-60 plymouths) or problems with some suspention piece. I'm not bragging, but i've seen some non restored packards with absolutely no rust, why? They were not cheap and built good cars. this kinda drove them into the ground but at least they wnt down fihting. also you are talking like i want to drive a fast car, what if i want to drive a supremely comfortable 1930s, 40s or 50s cruiser with some get-up-and-go to pass broken DeSotos on the side of the road? now let's get back on talking about the 53 gavril and keep the discusion civil
I guess I just like my gut punching performance with but sometimes I am drawn to the alluring '58 Cadillac, now that's a car that will certainly see off a Packard any day, even if it was expensive. And hey I didn't meant no hostility's, its good to have a banter every now and then. Keeps the brain in shape. Now on topic would sizes is the straight eight available in ? --- Post updated --- Needs more variants of the 313 engine, maybe like a 288 cui with single and two barrel carbs optionable. What about a bigger version too
The I8 is currently a 313. All V8s have both carbs, dw; I do, however, feel like a smaller I8 would make the 265 I6 (for 300) unnecessary. I'm not completely sold on that yet, but maybe a 40s racecar I8 swap is another idea...?
hmm ok then, how about some dual carbs like Hudson's Twin-H-Power available for the 265 I6 engine, making it a cheap hot up piece for those who cannot afford the V8 or I8 but wants some extra go power
265 ci is very big for 1953, and outside a low-priced make's range. --- Post updated --- Where are all the 60s, 70s and 80s engines, from smog-choked junkyard grabs to newly-made crate engines? Where are 50s engines from other divisions? Where is a 426 Hemi-like power monster? Where are modern engines? --- Post updated --- You keep making these rotaries and V12s, but what about the normal hot rod stuff?
Do I need to tell you every freaking engine I put in? Well, here it is, since it looks like you think I'm one who doesn't make normal stuff first. Ibishu I3 (cuban) Blown Ibishu I3 GM V8 Burnside V8 423CUI I8 I6 Bus 623CUI Crate engine (Cleetus McFarland's "toast") ETK I6 - LIKE I POSTED ALREADY YOU BLIND TWAT 2.0L I4 D series diesel V8 V12 Concept car rotary (which barely runs) Bruckell V6 Pigeon I3 Barstow V8 There. Now stop pestering me for things I've done already.
Notice the WIP tag, sir? That means you can make suggestions (say, an I5 although I'm not thinking about one) as long as you don't keep sounding like a nuisance. It's not like I don't want people to give ideas, advice and opinions.
