Not Starting Game

so I have the problem since the newest windows update is the game not starting the little window appears and when I Klick launch then nothing other happens but steam is saying it is running? anyone can help? has anyone else this problem?

 

I have the same Problem, i have emailed support about it. I have done a fresh install and still no luck It works in safe mode, so maybe an issue with Mods? I've got rid of all my mods and it still doesn't work.

Yeah it's really annoying. You have to either load the game in safe mode or manually go into the file directory and rename the settings folder to "settingsBackup". I don't exactly know the magic behind this but it definitely has to do with the game settings.

 

maybe a problem with the files directory? im not the best in programming so I really don't know exactly but when you say you had to rename a thing it is maybe such a problem?

 

Your PC specifications might cause the problem.

 

I'm having the same problem and i've tried both of these and it still wont launch. I have even tried reinstalling.

 

What are your computer specifications and how old is it?

 

so I solved it for me go to documents settings folder copy it saves it on desktop delete the folder in the documents and start the game when its starting everything is great then go to the settings folder you saved and copy the files for the keybindings (input maps) this solved it for me it's running everything is same no problems at all anymore

I have RTX 2060, 16gb RAM and Intel i7 9th gen. My computer is like 8 months old. I don't think it has anything to do with specification

 

I know that you have fixed it but if it happens again, just as an experiment, temporarily turn off your virus checker and try again as it could be blocking a file.

If that doesn't work then just try moving the files again.

should it block anything it saying it and you can say the virus checker that it is not a virus. i mean mine says everytime he found something new and I just put the file in the whitelist (McAfee)

 

sorry but that doesn't fix it by me the thing I said with the settings folder was the right thing I found out that more folders are in there when you already have it and when you delete it the game makes a folder with fewer folders in there so I think in an older version was something in their wich cause some problems right now like I said to delete it save everything you need in there and make a new one fixed everything.

 

I mean that in my settings folder where folders inside that wasn't in there when the game loaded a new one
