I thought sales were largely handled on the distribution side, not the publisher side. IIRC BeamNG does occasionally have a small sale price around the holidays anyway. Honestly giving away even a couple of copies via community contributers would be a good idea for full release marketing.
amen to that --- Post updated --- very good point --- Post updated --- if he can afford a computer to run the game in first place I would think he could afford the game.
Yeah, really good point. If he doesn't have controlling parents living with him, he should buy the game if he can afford a computer.
You don't need a fancy PC to run BeamNG. Even a 10-year-old midrange desktop could do. I used to run the game on a 2006 PC with a 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo, integrated graphics and 1 GB of RAM.
*laughs in Windows 98 gateway* In all seriousness, I actually managed to get BeamNG on that PC, Andy it ran on the lowest settings at... 2fps, but at least it booted up, and that just goes to show that changing a few files and getting an older version works on WIN98. very hard to do, I can’t even remember how I did it:/.
