I have to admit, it is a brilliant idea, but it would take a very long time and impact performance on weaker computers. I do hope they add it though.
Yeah because rigs of rods has scratches and it runs on potato pc all you would need is a decal that is applied to an extent so if you scratch half it would only apply up to that point.
Every single one of gabester's cars released for RoR had scratch able bodies... Their definitely is some things they could take from RoR and make more modern
There is a search feature that you can use to find out if something has been discussed previously on the forums. Also, I don't think it'd be hard to implement scratches, at least not in a "cheap" way (i.e. applying a decal when detecting damage to the car's structure), but perhaps the devs don't want to implement this yet as there could be a better solution down the line. It's likely not a very high priority feature, though.
Ok thanks for the advice , anyway talking about the scratches yes i think they could do it easily with the 'cheap' way, but that's not their style to release something badly done.
I've made a post about this far in the past. We even had somebody reply with a working (albeit bad) version that had scratch decals on damaged parts. https://beamng.com/threads/scratch-decals.34252/
