Well I change my default a fair amount but currently it's this a 1970 Gavril Barstow Trans-Am Racecar. I set her up to be as close to actual oldskool TA Racers as possible in BeamNG(with available official and mod parts). 3,263lbs, between 450 and 500 Horsepower, and Torque, and an engine(the 291 V8) around 300Cubic Inches)that revs to around 7,000RPM. A low slung racing suspension a 4 speed Manual gearbox. It's sequential as non-sequential boxes in BeamNG can tend to be a bit slow for a racecar, even one that would have a standard manual where if you watch they bang through gears incredible fast. Gears are a bit odd as trying to go with what I could find on official Trans-Am racecar gearing was not workiong well in game. So I gave 'er 3.5 , 1.9, ,1.25, ,0.8. With a 3.08 Final Drive that alows for an Aerodynamicaly limited 195 top speed, and plenty of room to adjust the Final drive up. for varying road courses that don't need 195MPH gearing. Anyway that's my current vehicle. Been fun to set up and do even more research old 1960's-1970's Nascars and TA racers are among my favorite racing machines of all time. (BTW anyone know of a good suspension setup for the Barstow? Thing is a handful when the speed starts to ramp up on straightaways of longer courses).
Also I did this(check thumbnail below), and she still runs(as you can see)!! And fourth is changed, 0.8 was to much of a spacing from the rest of the gears to be ideally usable in a race setting(maybe some kinda O/D but this is a racecar), so it's 0.95. That does give a top speed of 184MPH, with the 3.08FD it's not the aerodynamic maximum speed it was hitting before but that speed was already not that practical on any course that's not an oval. Plus the FD can be adjusted up or down anyway. Also Reverse is 2:1 Also other miscellaneous details in the effort to make a realistic historic race: The car is racing disc front and rear, with full racing brakes all around, a single racing seat, race radiator, standard steering box(Not necessarily accurate but alot easier to control with an XB-One controller), No power-steering, Race adjustable LSD, and Race adjustable final drive, Race Driveshaft, Suspension is all race parts in every applicable catagory, black Interior, stripped of anything unnecessary that adds weight, Nomi Mod.307R Racing Wheel, obviously a Roll Cage, Only a window at the front(windshield) to keep the weight realistic(cuz glass iz hevvy)as there are no lighter weight window alternatives for the Barstow, not official, nor any mod I can find., RDP Derby Fuel Tank(from a mod)Allows for a tank similar to a Fuel cell that is safer from impact then the standard tank., Has IFS, and 4-Link Live Axle Rear Suspension, That's about everything worth noting... oh and Horn 12 lol. The front end has also changed I neglected in the previous showing of this car to remember to remove the headlights, TA Racecars do not have them.(unfortunately cannot have a fascia on the Barstow without headlights) TA Racers do have Taillights though. . Also yeah the other part of the car is across the map with the fuel tank. Yet the engine here still gets fuel... I'll call it Wi-Fuel.
There is a working version somewhere in the discussion thread. iirc last or second to last page. Mind you the exhausts for the Z are broken and the door misaligns with the front fender (because of model updates), but for the most part it looks good amd drives like a Miramar. I edited the exhaust jbeams for my self, and I was hoping to release it as a 2nd patch, but I have not gotten a response from 99.
This ibishu chisai. It's got a Cherry-red paint, 656cc I3, carbon bits, rollcage, AWD, and nice wheelies
