LIVE?? The Race Update ? :D

I'm wondering that too. I hope I'm just downloading a totally new game. Because my old copy is pretty much as ruined as it can get with al the crappy mods I tried to make and edits I did. But if it was a full new game then anyone would be able to download it for free right now from the live page. So I doubt it.

 

I was at 7% and now back to 1%. WTF!

 

Was downloading with 1.4 mbs, now with 80 kbs

 

while i can't play yet, i can give a general look at the folder:

first thing i noticed, a devtools file, maybe to make modding the game easier? second thing i noticed that's new, the ui has it's own exe, probably because of the fact that the new ui is based off of chromium. 3rd new thing i noticed in the main folder: a console program i'm sure more people will notice other stuff

Dang. I wish I knew that, but there's only about 400MB left for me to download. (But it's going EXTREMELY slowly. Like 20KB/s right now.)

Lol at least I got Skyrim on the steam sale so ill go play that instead

 

Restarted updater three times, all I got out of that was starting the download over.. Barely breaking 200 KB/s.

Some would say I've waited this long.. But jeez.

Whelp.. Back to Spintires I guess..

 

I wish they had maybe released the file to a couple of donators or something first, to build up the seeders...

 

Why on earth couldnt a dev teammember upload these 1,5gb just on a fast webhoster like mediafire, mega, whatever?
This updater is so slow, unbelievable slow.

alpha_prerace is already there

SO SLOW, 9%, this is going to take AGES (about an hour according to the updater, but it acts as if it keeps losing connection(none of the numbers change) (which doesn't surprise me, my wifi adapter can not only fail at getting good speeds, but it tends to have connection problems as well))

 

Oh yeah, if they had just released it on mega, the servers would have dealt with the load, and then they could have put it on their torrent serves to build up seeders.

OOhh so that's why it started with 61 % on my end. i just put it in the Beamng folde though because it wouzldn't download on desktop. Cool

 

DL speed is hella bad, most I've seen is 35 KB/s.
