I've never been mad. Just don't obsess over people and don't do things that people have told you makes them uncomfortable.

 

Honestly, not all the people that were banned really did anything. It was more or less that if you spoke against what the devs did, you got yeeted out of the forums like god yeeted satan from the heavens

Oh yeah, I don't think people should be called a simp 2,000 times just because they have autism and can't things that. They should give valid criticism instead, I know they're joking, but it becomes less funny every time they use it.

Oh boy, I really [Bleep]ed up on Community Screenshots tonight. I tagged corvette81 because he quoted my Elon Musk/Jeff Bezos fan fiction pic and I tagged him once just telling him that I'll do the joking on Discord and some guy called me out for it. Here's the posted I quoted for this thread.

 

Regarding latest post, I think you've missed the part where they asked not to be mentioned, this is the 3rd (?) time you've done that?

The main thing annoying people in Community Screenshots is that you continue to mention people who are telling you not to mention as much. Sure the whole use of mentioning is to alert people that someone's replied to what they've said but in this case it's almost ironical.

You say that you understand but it feels you don't quite catch the alluded message to not mention those who've said things towards you in that regard.

I'm not saying never mention people, after all it's a useful tool. However tools can be abused, for instance :informative: or the older :disagree:.

Just know when not to mention people if they imply or blatantly say not to.

 

Yeah, I really screwed up last night. My main intention was to let the guy know that I would only do the joking thing on Discord, but I did it in the worst way possible. I agree with you, the mention thing can be a useful tool, but I abused it way too much. I'm aware he didn't want me tagging him and I did it anyways. Tagging people can be great sometimes, but I have to dial back on that a lot. I'm completely aware I screwed up last night on Community Screenshots.

 

You know, I quoted this on another thread. This came from General Discussion, but I personally feel like I need to say that I think people being bothered by tagging and calling me out on it and me getting into it honestly feels like drama in my opinion. I'm not saying I mind the drama. I'm saying that I believe it feels like drama. Don't get wrong, I deserve to get called out for this overtagging thing. I know you don't want me quoting you, especially twice. However, I needed to get this off my chest.

 

Well, I told you in private about my thoughts on this but I will drop in here real quick.

To me this entire tagging thing seems blown way out of proportion. I get that it might be annoying to constantly get notifications. But honestly that's all there is to it.
If somebody asks you to stop you can try and set yourself limitations to how often you do it and under what circumstances. Narrowing the applications down and specifying them might help you find a good balance.

It's obvious you never meant to annoy anyone or acted in bad faith and I think some leniency is in order. Even though you claim having autism is no excuse, in a certain way it is at least a valid explanation. My guess is that very few on these forums can even remotely relate to what it feels like navigating online communities with constant reminders that you are processing things in a different way than most others.

You're on a great way, and I've never seen someone handle criticism with as much grace as you did. Something which you have underlined in our private conversations.
