I've always wondered why their is a ambulance and a chief vehicle but no firetruck? Could someone help me figure out why? Also it would be amazing if someone could make a firetruck. I put some pics of different trucks below if someone's up for it. Trucks Below: 2015 Pierce Enforcer Pumper, 2015 Pierce Enforcer 107' Ascendant, 2015 Pierce Enforcer Custom 105' Tiller Ladder.
it would take very long time to make a firetruck the Jbeam would take ages to make. And the model would also take time.
The practical reason why there aren't any fire trucks is that since high-quality vehicles take so long to make, developers and modders usually choose vehicle types and designs that have a large number of plausible configurations. But all except a few American-style firetruck bodies are specifically built for firefighting, so that's exclusively what the config/configs would be: only fire trucks. They're cool machines, sure, but we get at most two new official vehicles a year: those two vehicles should deliver some config bang for that dev time buck.
I don't really understand why we can't get a T-series Fire engine configurations since the T-series is 100% capable of being one. I do understand that J-beams and modeling and everything related to making a vehicle design takes time and skill but, we have a frame, cab and engine. All that is needed is the rear to be made. I've provided 2 examples of what the T-series fire vehicle could look like (excluding the front of the 2nd one).
Because then people will want it to squirt water. And then they want to extinguish vehicles with that water. And then they want the water from the truck to affect handling of other vehicles. And that it freezes on the ground if the temperature is low enough... Fire trucks are a very deep hole to fall into.
I did have a fire truck similar to the Enforcer Ascendant a long while ago, albeit an Automation mod. I took it down recently to improve it when I had the time. Alas I don't have enough time to do so, so yeah.
To be honest I feel that using the T-Series as a base for a fire truck feels like cutting corners. Because let's be honest, who sees, or commonly sees, a longnose fire truck? Most are cabovers unless they're those brush pumpers and it doesn't necessarily have the unique "feel" that most fire engines have. When I think fire truck, I think of a top speed being 90-100ish km/h, cabover engine and stiff suspension. T-Series is easily capable of 130+
"cutting corners" Of course we are cutting corners. Not a lot of people have 1 year of time and motivation to put in a big project like this, the T-Series allow to make something in 1/2 months.
......have none of you seen this- https://www.beamng.com/resources/fu...stom-lightbars-and-selectable-patterns.16101/ Yes, it doesn't shoot water like a "real firetruck" but it's the closest you'll get until an official one gets released, and even then we don't know if that's gonna happen.
