I've got an idea: if you downloaded pre race update, you could send it to mediafire or something and post a link there. I'm tired of waiting 12 hours on update (and not only me) EDIT: After downloading, it should be enough to erase "update" file and paste all files to alpha_prerace folder.
Patience - [pey-shuh (imported from here) (imported from here)ns] 1. The quality of being patient, as the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like. 2. An ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay: to have patience with a slow learner.
As more people finish downloading the game, the download should improve as they start serving as seeds for other people downloading. After I'm done I'll turn off my VPN and seed at whatever abysmal Bytes/sec speed Time Warner allows for P2P connections, because every little bit helps.
I'm from '98. My family had got dial-up to 2005. After that, we had 1Mb/s to 2010. Now we've got 6Mb/s, which costs 30$ and when i'm using servers outside Poland (youtube, google etc), i've got max 2 Mb/s. So I know a little about slow internet.
That's interesting, but I consciously chose the word "most" because I know not everyone born after 1996 is beyond impatient.
15&1/2 actually, turn 16 in august (on the 16th ironically) - - - Updated - - - yeah, we couldn't exactly afford anything better during those times also, CYA, my download just finished
First of all, sorry by my bad english, I'm from brazil, and all english I know, I learned it playing games, so.. my Idea is: I think that those files that we are trying to download now already was ready for the download at least for the last 24 hours? I think that the developers does finish their products with some time (for tests or to prevent some delays they can have) until the oficial launch (any developers of any software, am I wrong?) So, what is the point? I think I pre load would be the solution, allowing us to pre download the game before the oficial launch, and program the launcher to only execute the game when the oficial launch, making a verification of the time in their servers, so, everyone could download the game (slowly before the official launch, but in the launch, with a certain number of people that already downloaded they game, uploading to the new downloaders on the launch). That is it, sorry for anything I have said wrong, hugs
I was born in '97 and had to deal with a slow Windows PC in 2002. I also have a quality unlike any spoiled little kid out there today: Using old computers. I used an iMac G3 as my work computer for about a year xD I don't know anyone else who can do that.
No, they were 5 minutes old when we released them, We worked hard until the end on it. And sorry about the speeds
wow, I always thought that would have some period for prevent some issues or some delay I am downloading at 8kbps D:, but the important is that you all made it, 5 minutes? wow
try this, I didnt even get dial up until 2008 and I had it right until BT discontinued service in my area which was 2011 I think (was damaged and more cost effective to alter the broadband hardware to reach those effected by the dial up hardware being damaged than it was to repair dial up stuff)
I thought about this too, but I don't think Rapidshare would approve of BeamNG or its users hosting their downloads on it. Also, there's copyrighted content in the update files meant only for paying BeamNG.drive users to download. I might be wrong. If it's OK to do this, I would gladly upload the update files to Dropbox for everyone else to download. Otherwise, no.
