Hi, i dont seem to be able to get traffic to work on the map The cars will spawn butthen not go anywhere
I really love this map! I just registered to be able to tell you that thanks for your hard work and that this map is awesome. Looking forward to see more changes.
the mod isn't dead, we just dont have time right now the road we wanted is finished but in close future our plan is to add some minor stuff, put hotels on top of montain put more detalis way up on that lonley road, and more anyone if someone have a suggestion what to add in map we are happy to listen
I`v been looking at satellite photos of the Stelvio pass and it seems to be several small dirt roads that would be nice to be able to drive, there is a road leading down to the river which is a good spot for rock crawling. There is also other small dirt paths that would be nice for offroading. I found a bug with some of the bushes, they crush cars if you drive in to them.
This is such a cool map. Probably the most beautiful map i have seen in this game. Good work man. But the roads are a bit bumpy but thats okey. (im from germany so my english is not the best)
This map is excellent, including all it's bumps and narrow sections it's great fun and looks fantastically realistic. Up there as one of the best I've seen for this game. I love the attention to detail and especially how it's not just a dead end at the top. As others have said it would definitely benefit from some dirt roads in places so it's not as limited further down. Also I think it could do with more space at the bottom rather than just a blocked road, even if it's just a car park. I look forward to seeing future up dates, good work!
Really late comment, but thats because the game simulates thin air. There isn't enough air to run the engine. The friction is a lack of power, because there isn't enough air for the engine to run properly. --- Post updated --- Speaking of elevation, if you put a car really down low in elevation (underneath grooved test range) the engine blows up because the high amount of air creates too much power for the engine.
We have made some updates to the map, now I would like to upload to the repository, but again I need some help with who do i need to contact to upload it as it got a bit bigger in size (501mb zipped). Updates: Added terrain around the main terrain Some smoothing of the roads (the road is still bumpy as it should be) Added some objects from the original Italy map Changes in lighting - added night sky Fixed day/night cycle Added fog - set at a lower height so it makes the feel that it is just down in the valley Fixed cable car disappearing animation Textures converted to DDS Some textures resized to smaller sizes - fps increase Updated the road to the top of the mountain Added some buildings at the top Added some animated flags Added lights (need to be turned on in the editor - if always on there is a massive drop in fps, at least for me) Some fixes that the console was warning about There are a lot of other small fixes and updates Still known bugs/problems/features missing: no LODS - maybe not needed? some vegetation eating cars - can't find the solution to fix this problem at the moment some roads could be made better AI not working as it should be - I don't know if I need to make some additional changes in the editor to fix some stuff... Additional dirt roads - very time consuming to make some good roads at those elevations/terrain angles, a bit worried to make a mess With those updates this should be version 1.0 ...
At the moment I am not planing to make them as I first need to learn how to make those... Maybe in some next update... I have more time in autumn and maybe I will try then.
Little-known fact: Some BeamNG content was created by a well-known content author under the pseudonym Richard Bachmann. Yes, I know. I'm a day late.
this map was so worthy of time trials so my friend and I made 4 https://www.beamng.com/threads/custom-timetrials-for-custom-maps.78313/#post-1307685
is the street lights working cause i see there are lights in the edit mode but cant really get them to light up
that version on forum doesn't support lights. In the new version there are lights (but we cannot upload here the new map becouse is a little to big).
