WIP Supercross

    While waiting for the race update, I started working on a new level a couple weeks ago, called Supercross. Its a short, technical circuit with med speeds, loads of drifting and lots of jumps. Loads of custom meshes and textures. Stadium model (grandstand) was originally created by Gator, its been modified heavily. Other than a couple stock BeamNG models, the track and everything is else is custom and created with Max. I highly reccomend playing it with Jalkku's VW-Polo-R-WRC car, its fast and handles well on this circuit.

    Release: when the race update comes out !

    This looks amazing. What sort of fps do you get?

    This entire level is quite small, the size of the stadium basically. Collision has been disabled on everything outside the track, saving on fps and the models are relatively simple, low poly objects with higher res textures. So performance is quite good in a nutshell ! :p

    New sunset skybox test, not sure yet on whether i like it or not, any thoughts?

    Wow, that looks awesome. I'd like to drive this track even without any opponents and/or race mechanics :D
    But I can wait. Such great projects make the coming game update even more fantastic :)

    That looks awesome! If I had one criticism, it's that you've got texture stretching on the tops of those blue and white barriers. Also, do I spy my speedbump texture at the ends of those ramps? ;)

    Cheers mate ! I didn't notice the stretching until you mentioned it, thx, now fixed !! Also, good eye, those are indeed the stock speedbump models being used (decoration only).

    I love it! Will the ground act like dirt/gravel or is it also an imported mesh?

    Good point. It does have the default asphalt skid marks which sux. If anyone can offer a solution to apply mud particles to a model surface, i'm all ears, i haven't been able to figure out how to change it.

    This is awesome! Gonna be great for the Honda TRX450R when that comes out too. I want the race update even more :p

    Sorry to bump a 3 week old thread but...
    Will have to wait for the full race update or will we be getting this with the pre-race update?

    Shortly after the full race update. This update does not have the race stuff in it. (timers etc)
