I've never once heard of a modder getting into legal trouble for using another game's assets for a free to download mod. You'd more likely to get sued for singing a cover of a song than using a model from an 10 year old game. You asked for permission. You did your due diligence and they don't care enough to respond.
Wym inactive? I was literally working on it like 2 days ago... People have lives. Mods don't get done in 2 days. My main hobby is buying cheap lawn mowers turning them into race mowers and selling them. Right now a beamng mod is one of my least priorities but that doesn't mean I don't work on it. I work on it for about a few hours about 2 or 3 days a week occasionally
I build my mowers with predator 420cc engines with stage 1 performance kits. Its x10 cheaper then upgrading the stock mower engine. Then I just change out the transaxle to a solid steel live axle. In the end I wind up spending about 700-800 dollars to build 1 mower but I can easily sell it for over $1500 so its a profit. As for speed, I run a 40 tooth race sprocket on the live axle which will bring the mower to a top speed of around 45-50 mph. Majority of the time I just do a few test drives, rip it a bit and then put it up forsale about 2-3 weeks later as I already have my own toys I can mess around with.
Theres a small event here in an indiana town called the twelve mile lawn mower race! Its pretty popular with the locals and well indy IS the racing capital of the world sooo what else could ya expect round hurr in these corn towns
Theres a small dirt track at my local drag strip they use for dirtbikes and karts that'd be perfect for those things. Would be pretty neat seeing those things tear round the track on a Saturday night under the lights.
Thank you for pointing that out Disney reference (yeah I know what a-113 is) Thank you I would've said the same. I spend majority of my time doing other things such as studying for things, building racing mowers, or working ect. While it has been a week or two since I've worked on this mod I never abandoned it. I guarantee a lot of people think I just got lazy/lost interest in this mod so I'll tell you the truth about the slow progress. This mod being completed at the complete bottom of my "to do" list not to mention majority of the time mods are released the people who create them are often just forgotten about but the mod stays active. Tell me, which would you do? Work on a virtual Ingame addon and spend HOURS of work doing it all for free and getting $0 from it, or build an actual racing mower which is not only popular in my area but in the end I get a whooping $2,000 dollars when I sell it which can go into pretty much anything I want? In other words no the mod isn't abandoned but I have other things that mean ALOT more to me.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2205091458 hmm... i wonder if he's using the same model as well...
I am but with different tires lol. But the original model is actually from project cars I believe, but its been tossed around in so many other games that not many people know its origin
