Update Speculation thread

Of the 6 years that I have been playing BeamNG, I have never run out of fuel completely from a full tank.


Mostly because either I completely bin my car or I get bored and swap it out for another car.

 

I have run out of fuel twice in 900 hours of play time.

 

Texas is mid-USA lol

Or even better, because its a prerunner they could make it baja mexico

 

What would they call it then? It has to be a coastal location for port, so that limits your options for a "mid-USA" state with an oceanic/gulf coast.

 

“Great Plains USA” would make more sense than “mid-USA”.

Well no shit, I'm just referring to it the same way that I_Like_Trophy_Trucks did. The most correct terminology would simply be the midwest states.

 

I could see it being Texas just because Industrial Site (and Port?) are set in Texas already. They have the plates in game, so may as well use them.

To back up my above message, here’s an image of the license plate on this weeks teaser video.

 

License plates are usually changed very late in development.

Small Island remastered used Texas plates in promotional material, and had California plates in the release version.

 

That’s a good point. I’m still betting on Texas though.

 

Yeah, though I'm sure they'll add them eventually as we get closer to the update dropping.

West Coast USA improvements :
possibly textures
the highway seems to be open now and looks like it loops back onto the other side of the highway
various mesh improvements
and the same screenshot on the current version for comparison :

the time trials end screen UI sees improvements too, as it now shows the current run's spot on your list of runs, hence the Place 18 on the newer screenshot.
WCUSA has also been confirmed to be worked on at the moment and optimized

 

Awesome, I hope those mesh improvements made the map easier to handle for low end computers

 

One good tip to trick a developer into sharing a map update teaser. Is to start a time trial challenge.
