So, my jbeam skills (as many of you in my PMs can attest) are rather shitty and I need some help figuring this out. I'm working on a small project that may or may not end up getting released -- it's an early 1960's truck with a two-speed rear-end and five speed manual transmission, I suppose it'd be much easier to just make it a ten-speed with two reverse gears, but I'd like to stay faithful to the real truck and actually make a working two-speed rear-end.

I'm still in the modeling phase and haven't started jbeaming anything yet, but any advice or ideas are very welcome.

I am no expert but the easiest approach to this would probably be a HI/LO transfer case similar to what is found in the offroad trucks. I've never done it myself but I'm sure the ratios can be adjusted to your liking.

This is totally doable and should be able to be done relatively easily.
