It looks like that HDDs are the bottleneck of the seeding.

My WD Black was at the limit by handling the data for uploading 0.7Mbit/s and downloading at 3Mbit/s
It reported access times in the range of 1 to 2 seconds.

I am now running the updater in a RAM disk the upload speed is raised to 1Mbit/s the limit of my connection

    Just though of this .
    to the devs,
could you make it that the updater could run in the background and put it by the system icons tray in bottom right corner so that its not in the way while i do stuff?

oh and btw i put the updater in the same folder as where i put the game will that be ok ? its made a folder named 'pre race update' so i think its working ok :)

I managed to seed a whopping 80mb on 3g without realising it, do apologise but I had to cut that off because I am capped on 3g data and I am reaching my monthly limit. On broadband, updater still won't connect.

EDIT: scratch that, seeding at 30-40kb/s, I'll leave it awhile, every little helps

Currently on 68% at 170 ish KB/s with 41 minutes to go. I was on 66% at 9.9 KB/s with 9 hours to go, but stopped and then restarted.

I'll leave it seeding if it really is done in 40 mins or so.

Curious way to update - I know nothing about torrenting, so can't comment if this is a good way to do it or not!

Edit: Lord this is slow. Dropped to 90 KB/s, 34 minutes til done apparently. We'll see. I'm so used to getting everything I want NOW on my 80mb connection, this feels like the bad old days of 56k....:p

We managed to stabilize our own seeding servers (they were overloaded). We are also, still searching for problems that affect the download speed.

Thank you all for your patience with the updater's download speed problems.

Also, of course, many many thanks for seeding the update :) .
