Released American 80's Fullsize Series 2.1

Literally the best vehicle mod on this website, and perhaps the best mod overall (tho it's hard to compare vehicles with different categories like maps and sounds; one isn't better than the other, they're just different, i.e. apples & oranges). God bless you for all the work you've put into for this thing, that - if you didn't make it for yourself (like I do with most of my mods, honestly) - you made for the people!

I've been using this mod for years now and, the fact that it's been working pretty damn flawlessly all these years since its initial release - not to mention the addition of all the new content that you keep updating it with from time to time - makes me feel compelled to extend my infinite gratitude towards you, as well as all others who contributed to the making of this digital work of art.

Thanks so much for this detailled feedback It's very enjoyable to know that people still enjoy playing with it as it was so much work at the time. Available time i'm not able to find for such hobby work anymore. Also always remember that the mod would just be a 3D model and some textures if it wasn't such a great team work on the jbeam and configs with those great fellows : Ar162B, Synsol, Bernd, Blijo, Goosah and many more.
It was a huge pleasure to work with all of them so thank you all, and the community for the nice feedback

Bonus this is not my creation but Thomatoes50's one, so as long as he will tell us it's not possible to make it work it won't anymore

 

@SergentFido , About your review reply, I understand now, sorry for complaining about it. If I knew before, I would have rated 5 stars. It's great and I love it, just a question, could you possibly just add a non-copyright beater version with it, just to give the base mod a bit more variety.

 

Thanks for your message. My answer was a bit harsh but it's a bit rude to receive a quick answer on a long time work. There is always a reason to things being like they were made, some devs contributed to the mod so if a better way than having those separated files would have been possible, it would have been done. Well, there is no need for the base mod to have more variety, it's only there to make the reviews possible, to collect infos about the mod popularity and if it's worth the work to update it. To get some mental fuel for the work done.
Also as the addon can't work without the base file, the amount of download on the repo = the amount of download of the addon, i suppose. A few people may have the black car only as a standalone, but i don't know how much. I hope it's not half the downloads
If more variety would be added, it would be a black wagon prototype or something like that, to stay on topic.

You're welcome. As far as i can see, all lua scripts for the mod are outdated leading to the vehicle being deactivated. When removing those scripts, the vehicle is active again, the only remaining issue is that for some reason the front wheelhub jbeam is not loaded by the game.
So i guess it won't be too long before it gets fixed, but lua will have to be updated in order to get police lights and other additionnal parts to work again.

Yep, slots sections for front suspensions are now invalid. I just have to check how it's now made on the Moonhawk to compare, i guess. Or something in the syntax is now wrong, i dunno right now but i'm searching

It was just some lines in the slots : {"nodeOffset":""},{"coreSlot":true}], that the game doesn't like now.

But i'm encountering some weird issues, when i spawn the vehicle the front bumper is there, but if i go to the part selector it disappears and it's not even selectable anymore. Maybe it's due to the missing Lua, i don't know.
Well not so bad for a broken mod so far

Well i'm investigating a bit, but don't expect an update too quick because Lua scripts need to be fixed and i'm not a lua guy . So i'll ask help to co-creators of the mod.

 

it sucks becsue this mod is broken from today's update. the front wheels are gone and it doesn't run.
