wow, after overclock, my game is EVEN BETTER. thank you brand new AMD drivers!! (I replaced 2 year old drivers yesterday with the update, and now I get the option to overclock). lets hope the CPU doesn't kill itself. o well if it does, ill just build a nice rig.

I take it that is at 4.4GHz as in your sig? Numbers like that suggest so.

Google Doc with all results is on the first post now. I will try to keep it updated.

maybe keep the stock clock column but add an overclock freq column, as my listed CPU at 1.5, right now its 2.3...just a suggestion. I know a lot of people overclock, and I just learned, so now im a total pro at it lol (jk)

ahh I see, unless someone else has the same setup, I see the 3420M at 2.3 as well listed. nevermind, this works just as well

I think that Mbeams/s is the best option.

Yeah that's at 4.4ghz :) I used to run it at 4.7 but it was getting pretty hot so I lowered it a little.

    -EDIT-

Results @4.7ghz, I felt the need to overclock again lol

    1. Stock i5 650
    2. Toshiba i7
    3. Asus got the same result (only 10% more)

The weird thing is: My PC got more FPS then the Toshiba notebook with one car :D

By any chance do you have an Acer Predator G5900? Never seen anyone else with my processor before... :D

Here's my benchmark, AMD FX 6100.
Note that it's at 3.3 GHz here, but it's set to auto overclock and goes up to 3.8 - 3.9 while playing BNG, so it probably works quite a lot better than this.

The chances are if it changes its clock dynamically, itl be at the max speed when doing the Benchmark. Check with CPU-Z open when you do the bench, it should show what the clock speed is at that time.

That's because laptop graphics cards are terrible.
Now I see how the hyperthreading affects CPU performance...
Still, if I wanted 8 cores I'd get an AMD 8350.
