I'm creating an Aston Martin V12 Vantage. My goal for this mod is to take a automation shell I have made and has a similar shape and make a better model for it and add a jbeam and good crash model so it doesn't look like I spent 5 minutes on it. Done, Haven't started, Working On Shell Sounds Model Interior Crash Model/JBeam Update 7/31/20 I have finished the model and am working on getting the model on the car working in beam. I am very excited for this project as I want to make an amazing mod. I will try my hardest on it but if it gets too hard I may have to cancel it. I will post an update when I get the damage model working. This is my first mod so I am hoping it turns out well. Update 8/2/20 I made the model and put it over the automation body. I then exported it as a .dae and replaced the automation .dae with the new one. I then zipped the file and put it in the mods folder for beanng. It now won't show up and I have gone through the files making sure I didn't break anything and I didn't. Can someone help out with this?
is that your model?[/QUOTE] My bad meant to say I was still working on the model let me fix it. I used a different model as a concept for this but I am going to design my own as it was very low quality
looks promising, don't give up also would be super cool if you were able to do just the vantage shell and make a few configs, some with v12 and some with v8
Hmmmmmm.. mmmmmmm.. noice... Spend enought time on this and you'll have something like the Fort Focus/Gavril vertex mod of @Inn0centJok3r Well done!
Glad to be back. Hope to turn over a new leaf this time around. OT: If you're attempting to make an Aston Martin out of an automation mod, I recommend trying to get as close as you can to the real thing. On yours, the headlights are a bit big, it's missing a lot of detail (which I believe you said you were working on too lazy to go up), and proportions of the body are way off. Wish you showed more pictures like of the back and full side picture.
My take is that if youre gonna put all the effort into making a new interior, new sounds, new jbeam and stuff like that, make a custom body in blender because automation bodies always look pretty wonky
To be fair, look at what Inn0cent started with, and now she has probably one of the most popular mods on the forums atm. As time moves forward, we can hopefully see something great. For OP, I would suggest giving it a bit more time in Automation, or editing the model in Blender, because it needs some work to make it look like the real thing, but ignoring all the fixtures, lights, etc, you have the shape down.
I’m making a custom model and replacing the old automation model as I don’t believe you can get photo accurate to a real car with automation --- Post updated --- This is what I’m trying to do. I have a model almost finished. The outside is done but the interior I’m working on. And then I’m going to take the old automation car and replace the body and make a full jbeam
If anyone can take a look at the files and see what I did wrong it would be greatly appreciated. I changed the model, the info.json, and materials and now it won't work in beam. What did I do wrong?
Update 10/8/20 The car is working and registering in game. I need to do the jbeam but I am having issues with the model appearing in game. What is wrong with the files if anyone can help.
