we might, though the map team has been pretty transparent when developing the newest maps (WCUSA and italy) and maps have a very long development time. plus, jungle rock island is also due for a remaster, so I'd suspect it will be the map work for 0.21 (if any)
Definitely focus on small maps for potential career mechanics. Like where will we buy used damaged vehicles to repair? Will it be some sort of pseudo online website we go to? Will there be some sort of cellphone mechanic like say GTA V? Where you can go to the in game internet to buy cars or simply browse through satirical websites? The bigger question is, How will mods work with career mode?
i would guess that mods would work like scenarios currently do; for any online or ranked stuff, they would be disabled, but for the normal campaign, i'd suspect maybe a choosable setting to automatically disable mods when going from sandbox to campaign, and otherwise it's up to the player to not ruin the experience for themselves.
It's usually 3-10 days after the first videos are published. I'd go with the top end of that at best, considering that video is still unpublished
yeah, how did they find that video? also i find it weird that they made a teaser just for new checkpoints, could mean that career mode is coming in 0.21/0.22? wild speculation here
tdev just gave the video that's gonna be used in the devblog to the official discord server. That's not a teaser I think, he just gave a bone to the dogs of this thread to occupy us a little more time (and we all liked it).
There seems to be a quite large building at the near end of the Checkpoints Video. It looks like a big garage or a warehouse of sorts. You could compare it a bit to Hirochi's garages, but looks much more abandoned. Also found those thingies at 0:22, looks like a factory.
