Meh, some junk I had on my hard drive. Figured I should share it, it's somewhat usable. I couldn't decide which sub-forum to post this in, so I decided to leave this here.



It's based heavily around a late 70s Camaro.

This was originally a 4 week mod challenge I did. I had 2 weeks to model the car, and 2 weeks to texturize it and make the JBeam for it. I abandoned it pretty quickly, mainly since 0.11 came out and put this mod on shaky ground.

This is very incomplete. Many official assets can be installed on this vehicle that should not be installable, breaking it. It has NOT been tested fully since 0.10; it may be partially broken in ways I don't know. It may also break the barstow.

If you have any issues with your game and/or official content not behaving or showing up correctly with this mod installed, remove it.

If the .zip doesn't work, or the mod is totally glitched out beyond just it's odd quirks of being incomplete, post about it here, and I can try to address loading issues.

Consider this a dump of all the files I have left of the mod. You have my full permission to improve and re-release this mod as your own, as long as you give credit to me for the original files and assets I created, and to BeamNG for the Barstow assets.

If anyone asks you if you had permission, just cite this post.


Enjoy, I guess. I apologize for the mod being so incomplete and somewhat glitchy, but I just have no plans whatsoever to finish it, and I want to leave the files here for others.

I think that I stated the incomplete nature of this mod very clearly... Though I assume people will still gripe about it unfortunately.

I can't find it in the vehicle selector, does anyone know where it is?

 

Under the Barstow. Click on the Barstow, then look for the configs with contender in the name.


Also make sure to put this in the "mods" folder.

I was actually considering restoring a 70's Camaro, so this is really cool.

 

Finally a Camaro in beamng yay!

 

I think that its an awesome wip mod! Its fun for cruising and it looks pretty good!

It's honestly pretty great, all it needs is a slightly higher hood to clear the radiator hose and stage 1 superchargers for other engines.

 

This is pretty good, better than a lot of "finished" mods I have seen floating around the forum.

 

somebody should skin this mod to have the classic black Camaro stripes

The author isn’t coming back to this. All though he did leave it for the community to work on it.
