Was anyone else suprised that no Zeta version of the Roamer was involved in the remaster?

 

not really, as the D Series Zeta was supposed to be an off roader with an homage to a rigs of rods vehicle, the gavril zeta, which had the same basic length and geometry of the Charro

 

Good point. I didn't think of that but it totally would've made sense.

 

i'd imagine they would only make one if they were to also make a roamer based charro.

 

Hard to say really. Looking at old pictures and videos, some of them posted by Gabester himself, it seems that there was also a four-door Zeta. I'm not certain, but it looks like Zeta is being reborn - or retconned - into a factory off-road special equipment package.

Depending on how interconnected lore is, one could argue that it started out as an options list, and then eventually became such an important marketing thing that when it came time for a new, offroad-focused sport-utility vehicle, that was the name that stuck.

 

Doesn't mean it is.

I guess it's something that could happen in the next update, but who knows, tbh.

 

they did refer to 0.20 as "the final phase of the Gavril Roamer Remaster." so i don't think a short wheelbase roamer is planned, at least any time soon.

I'd love to see more ROR vehicle "cameos", like maybe a Bandit Barstow, or maybe an Omega for some offroad-oriented config?

 

i've contemplated the possibility of the omega being a chevy avalanche style version of the roamer, or even a seperate car, like a hummer H2.
