My Stepdad owned a BMW 2002 4 door tuned with alpina and Schnitzer parts. To bad he sold it when he was young and a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible (some drove in it, totaled )
The Evo in my Avatar is mine, as well as the DKW I posted in vehicle suggestions a while back. My father's had his fair share of DKW in his life (7 or 8 I believe).
Taking delivery of this bad boy next weekend. 1995 Toyota MKII Tourer V. Twin Turbo 1JZ-GTE pushing almost 300 horsepower. Factory Manual too. I can't wait to own a JDM vehicle.
my dad used to own an XW fairmont with a 351 V8, and my mum had an actual JDM '79 accord (privately imported by a previous owner)
My gramps had a dart 340, no stripes or decals. He also had a 454 swapped delta 88. He told me once that the only 4 door that ever beat him was a Maserati biturbo.
My step-dad used to have a N/A Datsun 280zx T-Top with OEM rims and a Viper Red paint job and he now has a Custom 1952 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 door with a 350 and fender delete with those wheel guards or whatever, its Pearlescent Blue little bit purple
My dad and grandpa both had a lot of cool cars over the years, way more than I even know about. The most notable were my dads first car, a 1976 Triumph TR7, which he still has, but hasn’t been driven since the early 90s, an International Scout, a few Broncos, a 1979 Corvette, a 1978 Super Sport El Camino, the only car my grandpa ever bought new, it only has 13,000 miles on it, but like the TR7, it has been sitting since the early 90s. That is mine, I just don’t have the time or money for a project right now. And one that I only heard about, but would love to have seen, my grandpa once took a Chevy and Buick version of the same car, don’t remember what models, cut them both in half, and put them together. The drivers side was a Chevy, the passenger side was a Buick.
I don't think there was anything cool in the family, maybe except for the fact that my greatuncle briefly had a Volga in the 70s. But in his region of Poland it wasn't that obscure - just fancy for an used car.
My parents currently drive Alfa Romeo's (Mom = Stelvio, Dad = Guilia) The pictures are the exact spec they have My dad also used to have a Porsche 944 (Exact color) My grandpa also had an Alfa Romeo Spider (I'm not exactly sure what color it was, I think it was white or silver)
My dad had a couple of nice cars over the years, the first two he had when he was young and first got his licence in 1980s and the other two we had more recently. 1970 Ford XY GT Falcon 351ci v8 1972 Holden LJ Torana GTR XU1 202ci i6 1976 CK Chrysler by Chrysler 360ci v8 1984 Holden WB Statesman 304ci Injected V8 conversion (we got the engine from a wrecked VT SS Commodore) I miss the WB Statesman it was like a loungeroom on wheels and it was fun to drive after the engine swap. We had it for nearly 10 years but rust started getting the better of it and we sold it in 2012 to someone who planned on fixing and respraying it. We moved on to boats instead v8 boats are a ton of fun. EDIT: Added Pictures, While they are not of his cars they are the same models/colours that he had.
There isn't something really cool in my family. My mom owns a 09' Peugeot 307 Sedan,my dad has a 12' Peugeot 408.My dad used to have a Geely Haoqing(A Chinese shitbox based on Daihatsu Charade). Now in China, own a old car is cool for somebody(like me)but hard.My uncle has a VW Santana(VW Passat B2),rubbish but classic for us.Because this car used to be popular during 1980s and 1990s.
