Max mod size?

Just tried making my first car pack but I can't upload it because the it's too big. The zip is around 550mb

I could not find any info about it in the wiki. Is there a max value for the upload?

That’s a very weird number, does anyone know why it’s this specific number?

 

it's not a fixed limit, as there's 1.1gb mods on the repo
probably just a soft limit in the xenforo software to prevent website slowdowns

There's more ways to upload a mod? I only know the add a resource button here in the forums

 

Probably shows up in MiB, but was entered in MB as 512. Or something like that.

 

That must be what it is because its a flat 512 MB.
