It's been weeks and I STILL can't play.

What mods exactly?

 

No. I only use mods from the in game repository or the mod forums.

I'm on my way home, I can check and tell you in about an hour.

 

So now, I cant actually get the game open to tell you what they were. BUt i do remember I had the Ultimate Config pack, DPMP, a tire pack and 2 others but i dont remember what they were.

delete them all, the tire pack also causes problems. download a mod proven to work with the current version of the game. also, try logging onto steam on a different pc and see if that works.

 

I've tried deleting the mods and using others but they all seems to decide to crash my game randomly. theyll work fine one time and the next time itll crash. Also, I dont have another PC i can try to log in with.

 

Did you try running the game exe as an admin?

From what I understand, sometimes it needs to be run as an admin due to file permissions, etc. If this works, I think there's a way to make it always run as admin, so let me know.

 

Is your PC prebuilt? In that case, you should have formatted the drive after you got home and reinstalled windows, prebuilt PC manufacturers usually put their software and antiviruses and other shit on your PC, essentially bloatware. Best to start with a completely clean installation of windows.

You should set a flag for it to run as admin every time, just right click the .exe, go to properties, and check "run this program as administrator"

 

So, I've set it to permantly run as an administrator adsn so far, thje game has loaded me to the title screen. I'm going to try and load some of my old mods and see if that does anything.

Well, it seems like I've spoken too soon. THe game was running perfectly with some mods installed so, I went ot start adding some of my old ones back in... now the game crashes and i get the error "0xC00000409 Status Stack Buffer Overrun"

Then it asked me to change my user folder path, so I did. Now all my mods are gone again. this is getting so aggravating.
