WIP Beta released ETK 6000 & 4000 Series 1.0

Happy Easter
Putting these quarantine days to use, I resurrected this mod and updated it to the new powertrain system:

List of upgrades:
- Created new powertrain system with lockable diffs, transfercase, disconnectable shafts
- Added my own Volvo D26K550 and D16K750 engines and turbines - install this mod to get sound
- Overhauled all stock configurations and added 2 Volvo powered 6300 models
- Added the TastyCola load from the Dryvan Trailer (not perfect, but working)
- Other tweaks (airbrake sounds, reverse beep, additional brake and radiator parts, etc.)

@Ky if you want to revise it further and add it to the official updates of this mod, it would be fantastic

The developers may know what the fix is. This is a new issue caused a recent game update, and probably not hard to patch. PM me with any new info, I don’t have much time to go over code anymore.

Greetings everyone, I did some tweaking to this mod (basing on AM-DB9 edit):

1. "Remodeled" engine meshes, turbochargers (to add top mount intercooler, made intake manifold look better)
2. Semi wheels (Dually)
3. Realistic engine output (NA 7.8l Output: 194PS/587Nm, NA 12l Output 212PS/726Nm | Inspired from J08E, 6D16, and 6D24), originally has no turbo but 300ps?
4. Range selector + remodel powertrain system
5. Playing around with chassis stiffness (sorta)
6. Hauling Suspension (for heavy load, tested up to 30 ton)

Edit: Some Bugs will hopefully be fixed:

1. Brake overheats when given parking brake at stationary (10w and 6w version)
2. Trailer Fifth wheel

(fix soon, but one thing you need after applying next update is clear cache.)

Edit: Both of bugs is fixed, added a bare flatbed for 10w version, added gear knob + detailing, and. Anyone who downloaded it before 17th Apr 2022, redownload, and clear cache.
Another Edit: redownload if u downloaded before 25th June 2022. There's something broken must be fixed

i wonder if you can set this as outdated, it stopped working completely with the last game update i don't think it can be considered beta anymore

Its just a bug with 0.28, diamondback said he has fixed the issue in the game, hopefully the fix does get added in a hotfix sometime soon

 

Do people not understand the modder doesn't mod for the game anymore?

 

Though I agree the title should be changed to reflect that.

 

It's not broken for me? I am on 0.28 and it definitely shows its age with lack of PBR and ancient engine sounds, but still runs and drives


I am using the fix by @bitelaserkhalif a few posts up, the only thing I noticed besides the sounds and no PBR:
-The acceleration is really sluggish (might not be a bug)
-the brakes feel a good bit more sensitive than on the T-Series (might not be a bug either)
-manual transmission revs the engine high in arcade mode
-lights don't look the best and are dim
-It takes a few tries of hitting L to get a trailer to attach to the fifth wheel (might just be because of the tall ride height)
