does every one forget that Australia is that big blot of land on the flat earth map, does every one forget we made some of the worlds best muscle cars (well only three actually) and that we were one of the few country's throughout the '70s to still be pumping out successful muscle cars and does every one forget that we were actually a HUGE market, with the (in)famous Holden sell an astounding 450 000+ cars within its three year run (not sure if thats the highest we got but its damn high). If anything i feel that Australia is severely forgotten about, second place going to great "tea and biscuit" land but those cars are well known through out the world. What following does aussie cars have outside of our country apart from the handful of people

oh im sick of the XB falcon, for that reason and that it doesn't look anywhere near as aggressive nor clean as the XA. And wasn't the Ford Corcel a Brazilian car ?

the Monaro mod i think is nearly over six years old, has not been updated at all, and is no longer available for download. I don't know why but i just like the Corcel GT's, i think there pretty cool looking little thing. Yes my car in the profile pic is a 1976 Holden Torana Hatchback, they lived up to their looks in SS and A9X form but mine is the basic luxo-spartan SL model, just a small but reasonably powerful 253 V8. Fun fact, the word Torana in aborigine language means "to fly", something the A9X did with ease in the hands of Peter Brock back in '78 and '79. So much for the hype those flashy Cobra's make...

a better picture of the car

Generally every thing in good condition pre 1984 costs northward of 30 grand, now getting into R/T Valiant Charger, SL/R, SS and A9X, Monaro GTS (two door) 350, Falcon GT and GTHO's is getting right up there with most going for 120 grand+. The luxury cars ie; the Landau, Monaro LS and Chrysler by Chrysler are around the 70-100 thousand mark, though the more common and traditional (personal luxury cars sadly never took off here) "big car" like the Statesmans and Fairlane are a much more at reasonable 50-80 thousand. For the basic family cars that every grew up with but didn't really think much of at the time are now quickly doubling in prices, cars like the HQ Belmont/Kingswood/Premier and the Ford Falcon and Fairmonts have shot up to 40 grand now with Valiant close in tow, however the last of the series the CL/CM Valiant which i believe to be one of the best Australian cars ever built, are still fairly cheap and offer very good value for money, are closer to 15-25 thousand mark. I believe the reason why every thing, and please correct me if im wrong, is so expensive in your country is because the dollar is worthless, yet everyone is still payed a pittance

When I told people the Pontiac G8 was basically a holden rebranded, they were in shock. Nobody knows a damn thing about Australia. Australia is only looked at as a tourist destination from abroad.

You should have had to check a red box when you posted? That's because this thread hasn't been active in several months. You can see the date of posts, the one before yours was from back in Sept.

On one hand people don't like it when others bump old threads, on the other hand people don't like when you make duplicate threads. It's a fine line to walk sometimes. Just make sure any potential new threads or bumping of old ones are justified and contribute to the conversation.

You can reply to old forum threads but primarily only when you have something informative to add as otherwise it's just unnecessarily digging up an old thread which hasn't seen much popularity for a reason

i think a s H it T y sedan made into a BTC car would be cool,or even just a BTCC pessima would be cool.

but on a side note I think we need a REALLY (I mean really) late to early-ish mid-2000's RWD sedan eg 4 door BMW 3 series would be cool makes a great BTCC car and would finally get an OFFICAL RWD Mordenn RWD sedan.
