Dry Rock Island won't load

Hello everyone. After updating yesterday, Dry Rock Island stopped loading and the game would freeze up. Surely, I thought, reinstalling the game would help. Of course it didn't help. Anyone else having this issue? I'll send a screenshot of the error in a bit.

Here's the error.

 

re-run the updater, some files may have been missed/corrupted during the download.

 

Tried that, same error keeps popping up.

 

I'm having the same problem, any level that has vegetation has that error.

 

I get that error only on that specific map. Reinstalling didn't fix, rerunning the updater neither.

 

I had this problem too, I tried leaving it for a minute and it eventually loaded, it just took a long time. If it still doesn't load after a few minutes then I don't know :/

I found a fix.


All you need to do is make a copy of the "dry_rock_island" folder in the levels folder and rename it to "east_coast_usa". That got the map working for me.

I guess LJFHUTCH forgot to add the object to the DRI's art folder and it looks for the source in east coast which isn't in the pre-race update. /=

 

I was having this problem as well, argilla11's suggestion worked for me.

EDIT: It got the map to start, but there's big grey blocks in place of some vegetation, so I don't think it fixed it totally

 

Guess we'll just have to wait for the fix, it's a shame cause it's a fun map.
