What do you think about it? In my opinion, its unrealistic and extreme. I crashed into a Hopper from side with Sunburst, this is how it looked like after crash: How i think it should looked like:
while frame separation does happen irl, in your situation it is unrealistic because the sunburst would be a lot more damaged than it was. then again, the hopper is an older vehicle than the wrecked jk wrangler you posted, so it would be weaker than that
The mounts should be a little stronger, do a fast enough doughnut and the body comes off the Moonhawk.
The reason cars can be separated is because of a ladder frame. The sunburst does not have a ladder frame.
I know frame separation does happen irl, but its very very rare. In BeamNG, they (Hopper, Barstow, Moonhawk etc.) always get separated after every crash that over 100km/h. You can even separate frame from Moonhawk by just doing fast doughnuts. Also i didn't even crash that fast with Sunburst.
Still it's more realistic to have the frame come off than to bend and stretch the whole vehicle unrealistically like the pre-remastered H-Series on hard side impacts. I think you can think of it like, body on frame vehicles in the game are old and the frame mounts might be rusted and worn out on them, making them weaker. I agree that it probably should be stronger but I still like when it happens to me by accident and I drive just the frame afterwards, it's funny. I have to try the Moonhawk donuts thing now lol
the thing some of you might be forgetting is that crashes at 100 km/h rarely occur. usually the drivers have at least some time to brake before colliding.
yea, "fast" you'd probably get your head ripped off your neck at those speeds anyway. I'm pretty sure a body would detach from a frame as well.
