Pickup Crawler and Prerunner - The modular Multi-Tool of the Desert

I'm honestly beginning to wonder if the reason the crawler didn't come out in 0.20.0 was because support for a Charro crawler came from so many different users that everything else was delayed to give time to work that in.

I haven't seen so many people so excited to suggest a configuration like that in a long time.

I requested a D-series monster truck and was denied. I can't wait for the Pre-Crawler though.

Whats different with the interior?

 

I'm guessing it's better optimized, with new textures/updated polys and all that jazz.

 

I'm thinking now that the Prerunner/Crawler could be released with the final phase of the D-Series Remaster because Ferretank said it's all tied together. The Prerunner/Crawler could so have the updated interior and more things that the final phase of the D-Series Remaster will bring like possibly a modernish facelift.

 

If you couldn't tell already, the upcoming D-Series remaster will have a 4WD Hi-Lo range selector, much like the one in the 4WD Roamers.

 

This thing looks amazing. Can't wait to equip those things in my Charro and jump around Utah!

I'd imagine this is also to give the ability for the roamer interior to be put in, for the not-very-well-kept-secret that is the 2000 pickup facelift.

 

God, I really hope they don’t end up actually doing that. If the “1985” D-Series is anything to go by, it’ll just end up looking like this:

Using the Roamer interior is fine though. The GMT400 trucks lasted from 1988 to 1999, and got this updated dashboard in 1995:

Just as long as it doesn’t have wood on it. Which, knowing the devs explicitly stated they chose not to make non-wooded versions of the Roamer interior colors because it’d require making separate textures for them (the horror!) it probably will.
