What do you guys think of the new Z Proto? (If you’ve seen it)

I personally love it, because Nissan fused the design of the older Z cars so nicely, and I think it is SO worth the wait. And it comes with a six speed manual gearbox. I want one NOW.

 

Genuinely like it. Looks great and a deserving successor. However I do not like the color that they are promoting it in. Can't wait to see it in like black white or red, definitely want to see it in person.

 

Yeah I don’t like the color either, I wanna see it in silver ASAP

 

the grille should be more rounded

 

agree, completely square looks a bit off
i guess it's for "heritage" reasons, as the 240z had a square grille, but it had chrome bumpers to balance out the grille, and the 400z does not, making it look a bit strange

 

I think it’s more 350z-like

 

you're right, but then again, this all traces back to the original 240z

I'll admit, asides from the grille (and even then it's not the worse I've seen) I think it's really great! It does a far better job in capturing the spirit of the old OGs in a modern fashion than most others I've seen that tried doing the same. Honestly I don't see a whole lot of the modern Z in the design but that's completely fine with me, this looks the best out of the 21st century ones anyways as far as I've seen.
