Well, here are some suggestions. 1) Firstly, when driving the off road 4x4's, I'd like to enable diff lock, front and rear diff lock would be even better. 2) Low range gear option for 4x4's 3) Weird torque: there seems to be very little torque at very low RPMs (made worse by the fact you cant rev the car with the handbrake to prebuild the revs before you drop clutch/let handbrake off), if stuck the tyres don't seem to spin and the engine makes no sound, even with V8's. Also the Ibishu seems to accelerate very slowly for the first 1 or 2 meters, but then spins it's tyres in 2nd gear ? 4) More particles in crashes. Watching lots of crashes on youtube, there are thousands of bits of plastic, metal, glass that fly everywhere. I know this would kill performance but i'd love to see even a few more particles (actual objects though, not an effect) fly off in heavy impacts.
1) Agreed 2) Agreed 3) If you press "Q", you get manual transmission. You can then use the clutch to build revs. Also gives you better control when climbing steep hills. 3b) It's called "turbo-lag" 4) =)
As for 3, yeah it's the autos that are the problem. And I have a 1.6tdi diesel car, and if I floor it, it pulls off much quicker than that . But I guess that's an older car in the game, so it may be more of an issue.
We are going to implement proper lockable diffs, center diffs, low range transmissions, and all that stuff at some point in the near future The torque problem is because of the launching behavior in the arcade automatic mode - it doesn't build enough RPM before releasing, so you get no torque. We are working on it. The acceleration with the Covet you describe is because of the same problem. It launches from idle RPM with full throttle applied when it should launch from much higher up. The particles are a WIP. We are hoping to add particles that are actually chunks of the mesh that have been removed (you can see that parts of the mesh get deleted on parts like the D15 grille and Covet fascia)
Awesome! Can't wait to see this stuff implemented, what you have planned sounds great. You have such an amazing product on your hands.
3) I sort of solved that by changing the value of the viscousCoupling from 8 to 2 in the pickup_engine_i6.jbeam
Gabester, on the automatic vehicles, like the H-Series, when you put it in gear 1 or 2 the diff should auto lock, but for cars in general, there should be a lock button.
So glad I decided to support this game. Everything I see in here makes me want it to be done so much. I mean I'm having a blast with it already but more is always better.
