ok this will be official thread for my first mod im currently working on i plan on rework the heavy duty components for the d-series and add part addons i plan on reworking the steering linkage, refabbing the tie rods, track rod, and adding a steering stabilizer (why isnt there one already lol) I want to make aftermarket addon parts for the links, springs, coils, etc. -high steer linkage -heavy duty addons -lift components im open to collabs and highly would encourage someone to file and j-beam, however if nobody takes the offer ill just learn myself but that'll delay my planned mod suggestions+ideas, feel free to post WIP photos will be posted over time tldr: d35 suspension rework+addons important inquiries direct to>>ISX_15#3769
sure, i dont see why not --- Post updated --- .wip photos bump still cleaning up and refabricating things
the possibility of lifting 6+ inches, without the worry of steering links pulling to the left, or firm suspension --- Post updated --- the possibility of lifting 6+ inches, without the worry of steering links pulling to the left, or firm suspension
do a hydraulic steering setup if you want to go higher and dont wanna worry about it pulling to the left
or if you wanted to go higher just make some portal hubs plus the axles and a body lift from the d-up mod pack it could be crazy. The portals are up to you. haven't seen any nice portals in the game in a while if your up to the task that would be amazing.
if im really going to go in history with this, i want to keep it as minimalistic as possible so when it does come to the point i have to file and j-beam, it wont be such a struggle for me. Another thing, I am just thinking about just having the mod be new axles, then addons under that section in game. For the steering, more then likely just have different kinds, stock, high steer, separated tie rod and drag link, etc. and of course have the steering links tuneable --- Post updated --- were on the same boat. im still in the process of learning shadow mapping and proper normal baking. With blenders 2.8 release, i have to sorta relearn texturing
i dont see why not, i have so many spare suspension parts i authored that are just laying around in my harddrive
Hows this mod coming along, looks amazing Could you also do a wheel spacer mod 1-3inch that allows you to bolt more wheel spacers on lol Thanks
Welcome to the forums, I see that you recently joined and this is your first message. A good rule to follow in order to avoid conflict is to not bump dead threads(reply to something where the last message is more than 3 months old) as doing so angers people, especially since the last reply to this is from almost 1 year ago. Most mod creators on this site do not make money from their mods so projects may be started but never reach anything past a design phase due to the complicated nature of the game. Hope you understand and I hope you continue being an active and contributing member of the Beamng forums.
