http://www.amazon.co.uk/GeForce-Gra..._sbs_ce_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0T3XW9TN1X7CTW4B2ASJ that is the one i would like my current pc specks are i7 3770k 8gb ram 1 or 2gb gt630 and a 1920X1080p monitor
If you add a bit more money you can have this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-29...=UTF8&qid=1403990314&sr=1-1&keywords=r9+295x2 Best GPU so far.
maybe your family has a lot of money, but the graphics card you linked costs more than most peoples entire computer. yes, it is "good" but it is way more powerful than necessary. especially if you're at the age where your parents are buying you things... you just don't need it. here is a graphics card that is plenty powerful for 1080p gaming but a lot less expensive: http://www.amazon.co.uk/GeForce-Dir...e=UTF8&qid=1403991329&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+770
Overkill as hell, but yes. It should also be futureproof for some time with 6GB vram. I'm already kicking myself over my 2GB GTX 760. If you could find a 4-6GB 780ti (do they exist? :/) that'd be a better choice. Also, make sure your power supply is strong enough, I'd recommend a 550w minimum for that configuration, preferably 600 or higher. What you have there looks to be a prebuilt, I couldn't imagine a home build being weighted like that and prebuilts tend not to have the greatest power supplies. 2GB vram? Absolutely not! That'll be outdated in a year or less, especially if he wants.to put down the money for a Titan Black he wants to run everything on Ultra! At least link the 3GB model.
why are you kicking yourself over a 2gb gtx 760? do you have factual benchmarks to demonstrate that you're running into performance issues solely because you're running out of vram? unless he decides to run greater than 1080p, 2gb vram is plenty for just about everything. games aren't going to get much more demanding in this regard considering that consoles aren't even hitting 1080p. yes, the guy who posted a thread asking if one of the most powerful and expensive graphics cards available is good knows that he wants to run everything on ultra on his single 1080p monitor. the graphics card he listed is at the ridiculous enthusiast triple-monitor tier level, not single monitor 1080p gaming. he would be wasting his parents money. read the kids post history. he's probably underage for the forum and doesn't know a damn thing about hardware himself. never give anyone the benefit of the doubt: buying a $1000 usd graphics card would be a mistake if he has to ask this forum if the thing is "good" or not.
that GT630 will be fine for low settings on 720p though I suggest you get something a little better say a gtx 750 (ti) or better as that card will bottleneck that cpu so much and forget 60fps with the gt630 as the only way to get that is around 1024x768 lowest settings so no get a gtx 750 or a gtx 750 ti there are gtx 750 small form factor cards on ebay for around 100gbp! and that titan is very overkill its good for 2k or even 4k but to overkill on 1080p and the chances of you needing more than 2gb VRAM is quite slim, if you have the money then UPGRADE to a GTX 7xx those will get you at least 30fps on 1080p high settings maybe if your lucky 60fps high settings.
