And I get excited when I receive one like. I guess you got so many likes because you comment so much on this thread.

I posted this originally as a review on the mod so I'll post it here since you'd like stuff to reply to. It's REALLY good, although I feel like through testing the aero could use some work and it feels a bit too heavy.

Also on the APS Grand Prix livery the numbering is different.

So this is a bug report, the front suspension appears to have some weird weight to it causing the vehicle to wiggle about in the air. It's like the suspension is heavier than the rest of the car. Here's a short clip of what i mean:

What do you feel is wrong with the aero? And it is a bit heavy but that’s partly down to beams limitations and having this many breakable parts. He knows about the numbers too

I'll admit I know about every single bug everyone has reported here, including this one.
There's a bit of a "suspension glitch" going on, I'll see if I can fix it

As for the weight, it's as low as it's going to get with my current skills. Reducing weight while keeping the jbeam stable is horrifyingly difficult, and I know it's 200kg too heavy.

The default brake setup doesn't reach the car's braking potential. With these settings for the 2020 model, I went from ~2.2G max to ~3G max. (300km/h - 0) upload_2020-10-13_12-28-47.png

This F2 mod is really fun, but there are some bugs or issues that I've noticed with the 2020 version, which I think also apply to the 2018 version as well:
    - There is no front wing adjustment
    - The front and rear toe adjustments don't change the toe of the wheels
    - The front camber doesn't change the camber, and instead changes the front toe (and when it is maxed out the front toe is 10 degrees, while the camber doesn't change)
    - The rear camber also changes the rear toe, and the camber changes slightly, but also not by that much
    - The car bounces a lot vertically if the spring rates are not at default or close to default, and especially at stiffer spring rates - makes me question whether the dampers are working
    - The anti-roll bar doesn't really stop the car from rolling that much, even at the max setting (might be because stiffening it would add too much weight though)
    - Some setups cause the front suspension to break when cornering or braking at high speeds, like the spring/pushrod attachment to the spring breaks and the wheel collapses up, and the setup isn't even super extreme on the settings (though this might not be too big of an issue as not that many setups cause this, and strengthening the part might add too much weight)
    - The DRS doesn't seem to reduce downforce much at all - you can more or less take every high speed corner at the same speed with DRS open, but DRS should dramatically reduce downforce to the point that doing a slight turn can cause the car to feel very sketchy (this may be down to BeamNG's tyre model allowing a lot of slip angle though)
    - The wheels seem to move up and down a lot down the straight like in Forza, which it shouldn't in real life (although the suspension is softer on the 2020 cars, so that might just be me)
    - I can't seem to get the car to oversteer on corner entry, and in the high speed corners it feels like the car is over-rotating and going to spin out but somehow it is able to carry that slip angle (might be due to the camber adjustments not working, or also BeamNG's tyre model)
*On the handling front I'm using the Assetto Corsa RSS 2 V6 2020 mod as a comparison

    On the stock setup:
    - The brakes are very weak on default. I think F2 cars should be able to do about 3.5Gs under braking at high speed with medium to high downforce, and be able to lock up the wheels at lower speeds. 100% feels much more realistic, though it is still a bit difficult to get the tyres to lock up (unless this car has a huge amount of longitudinal grip that stops lock-ups)
    - The power lock for the differential is quite high, so it is easy to spin on power.
    - There's a lot of rear toe in, though this might be because the toe adjustment doesn't do anything
    - The force feedback is very high - this could just be my settings but I had to turn it down to 50%

This is just an idea that I think would be quite nice for any of the faster or more skilled drivers in the BeamNG community: Have 2 different setups for each car, a "safe" setup with more understeer and more compliant suspension and an "aggressive" setup that is more oversteery but is faster if driven correctly (so 4 different setups total, 2 for the 2018 car and 2 for the 2020 car). I can help with the aggressive setup if you want

On a different note, this car is fast and very fun to drive. I did a 1:00.093 lap at Hirochi Raceway (Long layout), without using DRS, on a full fuel load and with a custom setup in the 2020 car. I've not tried it at Spa to see how it compares to real life laptimes yet. Also, wall of text much.

I want to add: The suspension is far too easy to break/collapse. When grazing a wall, instead of the suspension collapsing, the tires should burst.

Depends on what you consider "grazing the wall" though, because the suspension on these open wheel cars usually can break very easily from contact with a wall.

Obviously this is F1, and F2 cars are built to a different spec, but you do see a lot of cars breaking their suspension from hitting the Wall of Champions (that sort-of tight final chicane at Montreal), even when the contact only looks very light

I more of mean when the suspension raises up, like what happened at russia, and vettel last year at cota there is more of supposed to be a puncture or complete suspension failure, where the wheel is held on by tethers.

yup just changed it, thanks for the reminder!

Also to anyone wanting to give feedback : keep in mind this is still not an exact copy of real life F2 cars. Yes, it's close, but I'm not a magician and I'm still learning a lot of stuff. So please bare with me, I can't make flawless content =)
As always I appreciate any kind of constructive feedback, even if it's negative. At least then I can fix those issues and make the mod even better.
