    where's your benchmark showing the difference though?

    CPUs have been powerful enough and memory has been plentiful enough that minute tweaks like this haven't really been relevant for the last decade and more... except antivirus, that will always be evil. in fact, i'd even say suggesting this kind of thing is dangerous given how completely unnecessary it is. and if you have to stumble upon something like this to get the idea to disable your AV, you probably shouldn't.

    I did get quite a boost in FPS, and you are right I should have shown that in the video.

    I don't think it's dangerous to turn off these unneeded programs in this case,
    but I do appreciate the feedback and thank you for the advice!

    whose to say your intentions are pure of heart, mister random internet man? the type of people who might try this have no idea what they're doing. encouraging this type of fiddling with that type of person rarely ends well.
