Blackout

Does anyone know why my game will black out for a couple seconds when I have more than 3 or 4 cars on one map? ive been dealing with it for quite some time now and ive finally had it. I got a new monitor and it is still happening. I figured I'd turn to the experts. Thanks a lot guys I appreciate all the comments I hope tp get!!!!

 

I'm by no means an expert, but I'm guessing your pc might be overheating...

 

how could I tell that? I am new to pc gaming.

but, overheating wouldn't really cause the screen to black out and come back. it should just degrade performance until you shut down. you can run the game in windowed mode alongside hwmonitor and see what your resource usage is like. it might even be the game switching between fullscreen and windowed mode for some reason, but I don't see why that would randomly happen.
