Over the past ~4 months that I've had this computer, I've been having some interesting issues with the graphics card (XFX Radeon RX 570, 4 gig), including EXTREME graphical glitches happening at random (This has happened about 4 times since I bought the machine), typically just on the desktop. It basically puts a checkerboard effect over my screen, which progressively goes to completely garbled graphics after about 30 seconds.
From what I can tell, this is a hardware issue, as this has happened on both operating systems that I've used the card in. (Initially Windows 10 home X64, however I have recently moved to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS in hopes of better performance)
Any advice for what I should do to further troubleshoot this issue, other than get the card out of this machine?

    The card's probably toast.

I think the card is dead. There is no bloody way that a GPU should be doing that.
