And they’ve been sticking with this game for 8 years now, probably not making a lot of money off of it. They can easily move on up the ladder and do something that has better benefits for them yet they still stick with this game, developing it for almost a decade now
That's a little better, but I think that now raises an opposite problem. The fascia that got leaked a while back looks far too new, in my opinion, for those years. That being said, I am well aware this is far more nitpicky than the previous complaint, as well as the fact that the leaked meshes were not final. After all, the facelift tailgate (as it's different from the only one available in-game) is different in design then the leaked one...
The facelifted Roamer goes to 2006, though it seems kind of silly to assume it would be the same for the D-Series in retrospect considering as of now it ends in 1994.
The Roamer's facelift is from 2000-2006, so it seemed safe to assume that the D-Series facelift would be similar and therefore the model years as well, with model years shifted around as appropriate to eliminate the gaps. It does have the same rear bumper (minus the lighting) in the teaser and was shown next to that version of the Roamer. Personally the thing that gets me is the combination of the curved front end with that chiseled shoulder line, especially on the bed (refer to picture below). Looking at the leaked file compared to the mods that put the Roamer's fascia on it, it's a lot less curved than the Roamer's, so maybe this won't be so prominent in the release. (Pics of the Roamer's front end taken from JsZ's mod, pic of leaked D-Series front end taken from ClassicMike's post) On an unrelated note, I love that gorilla
Now this is interesting, I can't be the only one seeing this: Probably just an optical illusion due to the angle, but I see no real definitive split between the bed and the cab. I see the line where the door meets the door jam, but it appears that the cab and bed may be one piece... Avalanche? Side note: the wheels appear to be a new model as well.
There is a different facelift in progress, there's a picture of it somewhere. It looks older than the Roamer's. --- Post updated --- That's an AI upscaling artifact. The wheels do look new though.
Having seen some more pictures and got better information - if I'm perfectly honest, the New Roamer-style fascia (not exactly the same, as I now see) does look kind of odd paired with the existing D-Series cab, and it honestly looks a bit too new for 1994-2000. I'd honestly be interested to see how you'd do a D-Series fascia patterned off the original Roamer front end.

I really hope devs take a look at this concept (click to enlarge). It's a mix of a 2003 silverado/ram/Brazilian S10. If they're going to make a 00s pickup truck, they MUST get rid of those lines and make the body rounder. A new front fascia and taillight textures isn't enough..
I agree that they should go rounded, but I think they should go more the Ford route for inspiration, like this 1997-2000 f-150 has, as that would match the design of the roamer.
What if it’s just an entirely new d series as well, like how we thought we were just gonna get the vivace but got the tograc as well
The Tograc isn’t entirely new. Same body with different parts. I imagine the facelift D-Series will bring another new fasica option, and probably a few other small facelift parts.
