Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Looks interesting, judging by your other mods it should be good. +1 for crediting the authors too, now the forum has no excuse to bitch at you.
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Good Car! I love the Savanna for the flame paint job you could get at the transfender!
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas This was my favorite car on san andreas. Glad to see its coming to beamng!
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas I just hope your not porting that car from that game...thats my only concern with this mod...
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and for the umpteen billionth time, just read the post and it answers your question
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas It's taken from GTA. What do you mean by real and copied?
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Yes, this is looking very nice. Given the age of GTA's model, it certainly does look good. Then again, BeamNG's graphics engine is many many times better than SA's graphics. The fullsize has all the same chassis specifications as what a car of this type would have in real life, so there's no problem there. All you really have to do is edit the shape to suit. I also have a few questions about this. Firstly, what are your plans with the roof? It is possible to have a folding roof (see Mythbuster's Cadillac), however having a removable, fixed roof useng the parts system would probably be easier and better for PC performance. If I recall, this car had soft top and hard top roof options at the mods shop in SA. Secondly, do you intend to include the modifications available for this car? It would be fairly easy to make duplicate groups in the jbeams and bind them to the models of the aftermarket parts, for things like bumpers, wheels, exhausts ect... Also, if you really had the motivation, you could do a hydraulic type suspension, to make the car bounce. Of course, this may be a little complex, and controlling it may be an issue...
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas To be honest...I would like to see updated textures on this car you know just so it looks alot better when you download and use it...
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas I have a feeling you may want to smooth out the model a bit. There are some places where the polys are quite obvious (rear bumper, headlight surrounds). Otherwise this looks good, and I hope this will be a quality mod.
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Subdividing the model could maybe help with the deformation.
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Yay, we get low rider. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Hmm, I think the problem is just the jbeam not fitting the model properly. If I recall, there was a Greenwood ported to BeamNG, which had a rather well fitted jbeam, and thus deformed nicely. Perhaps you should have a look at that particular jbeam for this (with necessary permissions of course), it may solve your problem
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas What problem about jbeam ? That when the mesh deforms it has too much hard edges ? That could be fixed by mesh tessellation . In 3ds Max tessellation works like that it keeps the geometry same but adds more edgeloops.
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas You can basically also do this in Blender. Wouldn't take much work
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Definitely needs some things fixed as talked about above, but I would love to have this to play with.
Re: Savanna - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Best muscle car in GTA in my opinion cause its very fast. The modeling though is very good hope you can soon finish cause this car is classic.
