im hoping to start testing the basic jbeam in game within the next week. Currently working on the basic NBE visual jbeam
It might be bigger than the Zephyr, Considering JsZ didn't release it before he took a break of beamng. Plus, We need another Kei car to ram against a wall and crush into bits.
Yes definitely. Worked about 6 hours today on the jbeam and optimizing the nomenclature so slots wont run into problems. Thanks to @appesh1 for helping me out again in the understanding of this overall
Hi, so today I spent some time working on jbeam slots and I'm more or less getting the hang of it. I need your opinion: Should I keep the frame/cab chassis one solid piece (one jbeam, a bit more tweaking/possibly more difficult and buggy later but this union is how the truck conventionally is) or keep them separate (cab will slide off frame like D-series, easier to tweak, but less true to it's actual nature). Let me know. I'm leaning towards union of the frame/cab chassis since it'll probably be more rigid and robust imo
I'd say do it as accurate as possible to real life, as operating on real life values can be easier than experimenting with artificial ones. Maybe look up some extreme crashes of the car and see if it's possible to separate the cab from the frame lile this. If not then make it one piece, if yes then you could make it 2 pieces but make the mounts really hard unlike in the D-Series, maybe even do like in the Wentward where it appears as 2 parts but they are unseparable. Do it as accurately as you can get, and it could make it easier for you to adjust other values later on.
the sambar was part of agents pack, its cool, but its one or perhaps the worst vehicle in the pack, the interior looks straight out of gta 3 and the body part agent completely secure and strong so when you stop or turn the fascia bends or the door stretches
I'd say keep them separate. if you use the pigeon as the Jbeam base, it would be easier to just keep the connecting structure it uses, that is the cab being detachable from the frame.
This is a huge mod I'm looking forward to... I have a PS4 driving set - up and love the feel of small cars. I love cars the size of the pigeon, just there is only the Ibishu Dove that really gets the feel in me. This will for sure give me the amazing feeling I'm looking for!
I love how this thing looks so far. I do have one question though, will it share some engines options with the pigeon?
