my first pickup hood mod

    hey, blower on the hood ;) .. first dae blender mod testing .. no beams, only blender dae.

    It's a great start. Next you should make a hole in the hood and model the blower on the engine

    Also blender destroys smoothing groups so the best you can do is edge split everything again. Won't look as good but that's all modders can do at this point

    Here's my attempt:
    screenshot_00000.png
    It is UV mapped but I haven't bothered texturing it or normal mapping it - I simply don't have time
    It is Jbeam'ed and deforms, but has maybe 6 more nodes
    And it is modelled by me in about 5 mins

    whole thing took about 45mins

    Apply edge split to it and it'll look better, also will look better with proper materials and UV mapping ;)

    So do you have a tenitive relase date? I love gaming with hotrods of all kinds. Keep us posted on progress. I hope you add some good sounds as well.
