Can someone please explain to me what the HTML file does in some license plate mods? I want to make a Croatian license plate mod, but I do not understand what this file does. I included an example picture from JorgePinto's European Plates Mod below. I know it has something to do with how plate text is formatted onto the plate, but I don't know enough to proceed and the license plate tutorial on the wiki does not cover this at all.
I opened it up, but all I get it a blank white page. I pressed F12 to look at the code, but I do not understand what's going on.
those HTML files are used to write the text on the license plate, which is a HTML texture. there is also a tutorial covering license plate creation on the wiki : https://wiki.beamng.com/License_plate_tutorial
How come the template license plates don't have this html file? Also, I could not find anything about this specific file in the tutorial. How can I create my own?
Ok, so I opened up the HTML file for the default German license plates and here's what I got. I can't make any sense of what's going on here, so I'll post the text file below.
Oh okay. So this mod spawns the plate with a different date sticker each time. It’s not something you need if you don’t want the stickers. --- Post updated --- But this also might be responsible for placing the random letters too. Without it, you might get blank license plates.
Yeah I depended on this file in order to make the US sized license plates have the FE-Schrift on two lines instead of one.
