So I want to make a car that I have not seen made before for this game, so I thought I'd make something that I don't really see get much love. The 1977 Dodge Monaco, you may recognize this as Sheriff Rosco's car from Dukes of Hazzard or if you're a late 70's-80's movie fanatic, you'll remember this car. I made the blueprints myself since Monaco blueprints are very rare. They aren't the best but it worked out well enough for me to make the model. I also plan to make a coupe and wagon as well as civilian versions. What do you guys think?
ooooooh nice ! cant wait to be a cliched '70s detective and just cruise around low key pretending im on some case. And aren't you the fella who was doing that '72 Ford Torino ?
oooooooh even more nice ! And for Plymouth, it'll be just a quick rebadge job and a different dashboard, they are almost exactly the same Edit: btw the way i know this aint the place to ask, but how is the Torino coming along?
I decided to take a break from the Torino because I wanted to train a little more at car modeling, I'm consideringheightening the poly count so it'll look even better in game but I'm not sure how well it'll work out
So how far in depth are you going when it comes too factory-ness ? is it going to be super detailed, like Coronet mod ?
God I remember the terror of seeing these cop cars come around the corner as a juvenile delinquent. Would be fun to trash a few.
Yeah that's what I'm going for, I'm not sure if these cars came with a 440 but I'm gonna put one in anyways because Dodge. --- Post updated --- at least someone remembers them!
yeah they came with the 440's but only on the cop cars i think, 1976 was the last year of the 440 being available to the public, or perhaps it was the last year one could get a 4 barrel 440 then afterward it was strictly two barrels on public cars, im not sure i haven't looked much into the late '70s Mopars --- Post updated --- would have been a scary moment when you'd spot them a mile away in the rearview coming at you at top speed
I just figured even the cop cars would've been downgraded, I still love the look of the car. I find it as iconic as the Crown Vic ( I have one) but, no one pays attention to these anymore.
The only people who would get nostalgic about these things are the people who got in trouble in '70s, there are rumors that those cop 440's were hotted up when they given to the police (probably at illegal levels of tune), as most in the know back then knew that if one was in the rearview then the game was up. I do get nostalgic about them because they were in just about every cop movie or high speed chases, sadly though they almost always ended up second best. They were (and still are) a good handling, powerful, and solid/durable car that never really got the recognition that they deserved, at least coppers and detectives got to enjoy them
Don't. The mesh on every but the pre-last pic is more than enough. If you have a too dense mesh, it will cause it to spike a lot or in many places when damaged ingame
sexy 70's vehicle Could you also make a stock version? this looks very promising for the model itself.
Spent all day yesterday just refining the body mesh, I want to take my time on this one. I'll probably make a police variant first since that is the main attraction of the Dodge Monaco, but I will make other variants as well.
It’ll go perfect with olds full-size --- Post updated --- I feel like more people would be excited about a police variant if anything the variants will just be different departments of police cars but I will also include stock versions as well.
We've got half a packet of cigarettes, full tank of gas, its 109 miles to Chicago, its dark and we're wearing sunglasses... Hit it. Im sorry i just had to
