imo I feel like ford should re-enter the minivan market because they are discontinuing most of the small cars and bringing back cars like the maverick and the bronco, why not bring back the family hauler? one thing though is that minivans are losing sales, fast. so I'm not completely sure, I would like them to come back but if they don't do something different and change something about the van to make it unique and bring back consumers, then it would just be a sales flop. btw I think they should come back as the Windstar and not the Freestar, I think the name change was the thing to bring the car down to its grave. I wanna hear everybody's opinions so let's talk please?
minivans are still falling in popularity, it'll be at least 10 more years until crossovers become universally uncool and minivans regain some ironic coolness.
I wouldn't quite be that worried. driverless tech is still a long way off being 100% safe, and even then, i doubt they will be able to force people out of their old cars, so even if they figure it out by 2040, it would probably take until 2060 to get everyone (except hopefully classic car enthusiasts) into driverless cars.
yeah, but then after that time its the worry about if we even have oil, thats the scary one, i'll never go electric or drive a modern car, what'll happen when we dont have any oil ? Edit: And how will classic cars share the road with driverless cars as well, as we all know driverless cars talk with each other, they cant with stone age tech cars
i mostly agree with you, companies like tesla are close to being 100% safe and you see other companies with self parking already. maybe give it until 2030 for a company like chrysler to have a driverless car (if they will even last until then)
I know at least cars now just use cameras and don't communicate with other cars, if they relied solely on communication with other cars, they'd need a government mandate because it would be REALLY unsafe if that other car didn't think you were there.
